SUSTAINABILITY AND CIRCULAR ECONOMY in the Second-Hand trade - we demonstrate it to you
SUSTAINABILITY is an important topic for BAGGYLUXE, also in the world of luxury Sustainability will increase in importance.
Many stars are making statements and showing off their vintage bags.
We at BAGGYLUXE think this is pretty smart.
A heightened awareness of sustainable fashion and second hand bags is slowly but steadily establishing itself.
We may quote Donatella Versace, who is reported to have said:
"There is no greater luxury than our future."
Versace is taking its first steps toward sustainability and will eliminate fur in the future.
A first step in the right direction and a very important one for new awareness, we at BAGGYLUXE think.
Consumers are increasingly concerned about sustainability in your purchasing decisions, and this is also true for the luxury industry.
Luxury companies are coming under increasing pressure. A well-known pioneer for taking sustainability for granted is Stella McCartney, a British fashion designer. Since 2020, she has only worked with supplier companies that source green energy.
Greenpeace, for example, calls for upcycling. This involves reworking existing pieces such as luxury handbags or wearing VINTAGE.
Also, we think it's very good that big companies have to take a stand on their brands. If one considers that Burberry each year goods in the value of eight-figure amounts, burned, the outcry is large.
Even Louis Vuitton has a sustainability agenda. It has created a department dedicated solely to sustainability and owns the whole process of circular economy.
We at BAGGYLUXE identify very much with the statement of Michael Burke (CEO of Louis Vuitton): M.Burke does not believe in quick gratification. That is exactly the problem of overconsumption. Man or woman should quietly desire things for a certain time.
We see this exactly so - for this reason we offer exclusively Preloved- products. Products that you want to afford, consciously. Products that accompany us for a certain time to then pass them on into other hands, so that someone else may enjoy them.
In a way, it could also be interpreted as a modern way of sharing.
If you too would like to share and, like us, focus on circular economy, then follow us here to our Purchase- service.
Become a PreLover too and be part of our community :-)
