THE LOUIS VUITTON ALMA
The Louis Vuitton bag called Alma describes structure, temperament and definitely elegance - a true classic from Louis Vuitton.
This bag has made a great name for itself since its creation in 1992.
This bag has been in existence for twenty years, and the roots of this classic go back a long way.
It all started in the 19th century, Alma's ancestors date back to that time. A simple laundry bag and a night bag, which ensured that everything in the suitcase had its place and its order. These two bags were merged into the Steamer Bag in 1901, it was trapezoidal and you could sort the laundry separately from worn and unworn clothes.
Gaston- Louis Vuitton reworked the bag in 1934 to make it even more chic and the result was the "Square Bag". Then came the City version, which he created in 1955 and which was called "Champs-Élysées".
The birth year of the Alma 1992 began with Monogram Canvas, it captivates with its elegance. In the meantime, the Alma is available in all great colours and materials, such as EPI leather, Vernis leather, graphic Damier canvas and Monogram canvas.
The ALMA is also available in different sizes, from the BB to PM, MM and the XXL version of the GM.
Many artists, such as Stephen Sprouse and Takashi Murakami, were inspired by the Alma and left their creativity on the bags.
The Alma has been reinterpreted most often, a recent version is by Nicolas Ghesquière. He covered the Alma with a red monogram on a black background.
The Alma is still the perfect bag that lasts many seasons very calmly.
You will find different designs of the ALMA in our online boutique, we would be happy to welcome you.
